Further to our post a few days ago about class actions being introduced to the Irish legal system, we have added a section to our website about class actions, giving details of what they are, how they work etc. We’ll be adding much more to this section periodically.

Class actions could be an extremely important mechanism for defective block property owners to get redress and compensation. The most concerning part is that the Irish Government has until 25 December 2022 to adopt and publish measures to comply with the Collective Redress Directive but they don’t need to apply these measures until 25 June 2023.

We need to get class actions introduced in the Irish legal system much sooner than June 2023.

We need your help!

If you’re willing to send emails to government representatives and officials, civil servants and other relevant parties to help to push this forward please go to our website and put in your name and email address in the sign up form (like the one in the pic below) and we’ll put you on a mailing list to inform you when emails will be going out and we’ll give you sample emails to send, if required.

Thank you.
